Chicken Shawarma

Chicken Shawarma

(*Taken from Phase 3 of the eLifestyle eTransformation Weight Loss & Lifestyle Program)


  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Small whole wheat pita
  • Humus
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp sugar (I use coconut sweetener)
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp curry
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, minced (if I don’t have that around I use a little hot sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


    1. In a mixing bowl, rub both sides of chicken. Cooking method as desired. (If there is left-over that has not touched chicken, refrigerate)

*I usually use boneless, skinless thighs and cut them up into small pieces, but works well with any shape.
